About East African Banking School International Conference

Uganda Institute of Banking and Financial services (UIBFS) in collaboration with Tanzania Institute of Bankers (TIOB) and Kenya Institute of Bankers (KIB) are delighted to announce that they will host the 21st East African Banking School (EABS) at the Serena Hotel in Uganda, Kampala from 9th -12th July 2024. The EABS holds these international conferences on diverse themes annually, organized on a rotational basis among three regional institutes of Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania.

The purpose of the conference is to sustain the debate on the role of financial services in building sustainable regional economies thereby contributing to the ability of African countries and other developing economies in meeting their development targets. The 2023 conference was organized under the theme “Trends in data governance,”.

The Conference will attract submissions from researchers, practitioners and experts from different fields that contribute to national and global economic development agendas including but not limited to Financial management, Risk Management, Ethics, integrity and professionalism in business, Green Financing for sustainable development, ESG, and Technology and innovation, non-Financial markets, and others to share theoretical and practical experience relating to the field of Financial Management that will help review the relationship of national and regional economic development agendas to the global development agenda.
